A Touch of India

On the 5^th April, Rohit's magnificent Mum, Mrs Jagarlapudi, came in to Year 4 and taught us loads of great facts about saris.  Miss Millar tried one on, and she looked even more beautiful than usual!

Mrs Jagarlapudi also had some bindis for us to look at - but NOT to touch!  She then showed us her wedding sari, which was made from banana silk and jewels.  We learnt that when you are married, you must wear a bindi on your forehead and a gold necklace.
