Celebrity Gardener Celebrates Garden

On Thursday 8th July, Portway Junior school received the prestigious Silver Gilt award from South and South East in Bloom. The award was presented by representatives of South and South East in Bloom and Blue Peter Gardener Chris Collins.

Chris presented the certificate to the school gardeners who have done a fantastic job maintaining and improving our grounds, with the great support of Mr Cantillon and Mrs Pridmore and a fantastic group of volunteers. Carla James (Year 5) school gardener said ' It was amazing meeting Chris from Blue Peter'.

It will be a day that will stay long in the memory.
