Evacuation Day

 "As bombs are falling all over town year 6 pupils are evacuated to safety at Anton School. Carrying only the essential items such as a gas mask the children boarded the charabanc to safety. Spirits were high as the children avoided the craters in Eardley Avenue on their perilous journey to Anton."

Luckily this was only year 6 being 'evacuated' to Anton Junior School as part of their Britain Since 1930's project. They spent the day trying to getting a feel for what it was like for children during the war. They spent the day with Anton teachers in a strange environment whilst the Anton pupils came here. As usual everyone made a great effort with costumes and making their own gas mask boxes!
