Harvest Collection 2018

08/10/2018

Our vision statement mentions that we recognise the need to develop and have empathy with others; we understand this as 'putting ourselves in someone else's shoes'.

As part of this, in our assemblies, we have been learning about the important work of Food Banks up and down the country and, in particular, in Test Valley. We have partnered with The Bridge in Andover, who are a distribution point for the Andover Food Bank  and we are collecting tins and packets of food for their important work in our town. Please help us to support them by bringing in some tins and packets of food that they can use. Our presentation, with more details, is below.

Key contributions will be:

  • Jars of jam, marmite, marmalade, chocolate spread - anything that can be put on toast!
  • Coffee, tea, sugar and long-life milk
  • Tins of baked beans, soups and cook in sauces are also really really helpful as quick and easy meals for people.

Items should be brought to school on Friday 12th October - donations can be left in the school hall - when they will be collected by a Trustee of The Bridge.

Thank you very much in anticipation of your support.
