Football League Match - Portway 'A' vs Portway 'B'

This week Portway 'A' played Portway 'B' in a crucial league game. The A'A' team were defending a 100% record and the 'B' team gave them the hardest game of this year's league fixtures. Both teams worked very hard indeed and were determined not to let anything slip. After a tense 15 minutes the 'A' team managed to get a goal and followed this up later in the game with another. Both teams came close on several occasions and both goalkeepers played very well indeed. So in the end the 'A' team won 2-0 in their final league game before they go to the finals day on Easter Monday. Portway 'B' have one more game to play against Andover CofE but many of them will be back next year as they are only in year 5.

Harvey Richardson was the A team player of the match for another excellent performance and for the B team it was Ross McMullen who played out of his skin and it was great to have him back.

A Team - Nathan Birks, Brandon Howells-Shipsey, Lewis Chilcott, Harvey Richardson, Mathew Clark, Harry Robins, Liam Heaton, Rhys Sullivan,

B Team - Sam Clash, Ben Mundy, Jake McGowan, Callum Cousins, Rhys Jones, Harry Mellows, Jack Moffatt, Connor Harvey, Ross McMullen
