This fabulous book is called Foul Play and it's by my favourite author, Tom Palmer.  It is part of the Foul Play series, which has five novels in it.  This book is the first novel of the Foul Play series.

The book is about a teenage boy called Danny Harte, who is on the case after his footballing hero, Sam Roberts, gets kidnapped.  Danny was the last person to see Sam Roberts after he went missing.  But will Danny solve the mystery before it is too late?

My favourite part was when Danny was kidnapped by the robbers and thrown in the back of a van, because at first I didn't know it was the guys that kidnapped Sam Roberts.  My favourite character is Danny as he is always telling lies when he's not meaning to!

I think it's a fantastic book because you never want to put it down and you never know what's going to happen next.  I recommend it for ages 8-20 because it's sort of a kids book but I will like it when I'm older as it's so outstanding.  I would give it a 9/10 because it's the best book I've read.
