Founders' Day at Portway

The 22nd February is Founders Day for many Scouting and Guiding groups, as wellas being a 'thinking day' for others. As a result we invited any children in these organisations to wear their uniform on this special day. It was great to see so many decide to wear them and lots of other children were asking questions all about it.

Worldwide in nearly all Scout associations, Founders' Day is celebrated on February 22, the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell (born in 1857), the founder of Scouting movement.
