The Egyptian Experience!

On Wednesday 6^th July it was Egyptian day in Year 3. Straight after the register we went down to the main hall for a fashion parade.  Our mums and dads came to watch and to admire our fantastic costumes. The activities we did during the day were: making scarab beetles out of clay, making mummies with lavender in the bandages, experimenting with connex and plasticine, making a shaduf and testing it in water, along with making a sarcophagus to put our mummies in. After break we went to the dining hall for food tasting. We had honey to dip our pitta bread in and the grapes were nice in honey too. We had a great day and it was lots of fun. Thank you to our teachers for planning it for us.
