The FA comes to Portway

The FA Skills Centre Comes to Portway!

We are delighted that we have been chosen by the Football Association to host their local skills centre during the summer term. After Easter every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 our school will be given 45 places at the centre, run by 3 professional coaches. From 4:30-5:30 children from other local schools will be using our facilities. Normally the FA charges £2 per session but because we are hosting it there is only a one off charge of £5 which covers all of the sessions.

If your son and daughter is at Portway and would like to do it then they will need to pick up an application form from the office and then return it completed asap. If we have more numbers than they can accommodate then we will have to hold a 'draw' but we will let you know if that happens. The FA skills centre is delivered by qualified coaches from the FA and children will be split into age groups during the sessions. The emphasis is on developing skills that will not only help the children to become better footballers but also to become better all-round sports people.
