Year 4 Pop to the Shops!
Y E A R 4's T R I P T O T H E L O C A L S H O P S
We couldn't have picked a nicer day for our geography trip to the local shops! The sun was shining and the sky was blue as we set off in our groups. As we approached Burbidge's Bakery we had to pinch our noses to stop the temptation of rushing in and gobbling up all the cakes and buns because they smelt so nice!
First we stood on the side of the road and artistically drew some old/new shops. After that we added the skyline to our masterpieces (almost mathematical shapes!) The very next thing, after crossing the busy road safely, was to ask (politely) a stranger if they could answer our questionnaire. Thankfully they said 'of course' and happily made their way through our questions. After that we had to answer a few questions as well! There were a few questions about the shops and some about the post office.
The last task was returning to school safely. Fortunately, every single one of us returned to school in one piece! We all had a great time!
