Year 6 Aiming High
Year 6 Visit University of Winchester
This week Year 6 had a chance to experience a day at Winchester University to get a taster of what life is like as a student. They got to see a hall of residence, the brand new teaching block, the library, the food courts and also entertainment areas! The pupils found out a lot of information about university life on the day and lots of them started to think about going to university when they area older – they were certainly ‘aiming high’ We'd like to thank the Aim Higher team and the Year 6 teachers for organising this trip - it was a really great day. We also had an email from Helen Briers, who coordinates the Aim Higher work at the university. She said: "It was a pleasure to welcome Year 6 to the University today. We had a great time and hope that they did too! We were all very impressed with Y6's excellent behaviour and inquisitiveness!"
